Living with diabetes can be exhausting — not just physically, but emotionally too. When your blood sugars feel unpredictable, it can affect everything from your energy to your mood, to how you show up in your relationships or work. Trying to "get it under control" can feel like a full-time job.
As a dietitian who specializes in Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, I understand just how overwhelming it can be and I’m here to help. I hold the Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) credential, which means I stay up to date on the latest tools, tech (like Dexcom or Libre), medications, and research. More importantly, I use that knowledge to meet you where you are.
Together, we’ll create a plan that works with your lifestyle and food preferences — not against them — and helps you feel more confident and in control of your blood sugars without having to micromanage every bite.
Marina Balic, Dietitian
Marina Balic, BSc, RD, CDE, is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator based in Vancouver, British Columbia. With an honours degree in Dietetics from the University of British Columbia and an internship with Fraser Health Authority, Marina has over 10 years combined of schooling and experience counselling clients in managing Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, kidney stones, celiac disease, and more!
Starting her career in clinical settings, Marina now focuses on one-on-one consultations, helping clients manage chronic conditions with a weight-inclusive, body-positive approach. She emphasizes balanced, enjoyable eating without guilt, aiming to empower clients to confidently pursue their health goals
